$100,000 marijuana operation busted in Sherburne


SHERBURNE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Chenango County man was sent to jail following a lengthy investigation that discovered a large-scale marijuana operation, according to law enforcement officials.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office says 52-year-old Robert Reynolds was arrested on Thursday at his home on Pleasant Valley Road.

Officials said Reynolds had approximately 100 pounds of high-grade marijuana in the home along with $36,000 cash and $20,000 worth of property that resulted from the sales. There were also scales, packaging material, drug paraphernalia and Oxycodone.

Police say the estimated street value of the operation was over $100,000.

Reynolds is charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana, felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.

Additional arrests are pending and additional property may be seized as the investigation continues.

Reynolds was arraigned in the Town of North Norwich Court and sent to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $50,000 cash bail.

The Village of Sherburne Police assisted in the investigation.
