FRANKFORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - Frankfort Town Police are investigating a series of burglaries that have occurred over the past several weeks. One suspect was taken into custody on Saturday but officials do not believe he was acting alone and are searching for more suspects.

Nearly a month ago, Frankfort Police were notified of a burglary that took place on Albany Road. After a lengthy investigation Daniel Passiouk, 21, was taken into custody and charged with 3rd degree burglary and petit larceny. Police say additional charges are pending.

Passiouk was arraigned in Frankfort Town Court and is being held at the Herkimer County Jail.

Police say in many of the recent burglary cases, the suspects gained entry through an unlocked first floor window. Officials ask everyone to make sure their doors and windows are secure.

Anyone with information regarding the recent burglaries is asked to call Frankfort Town Police at (315) 894-3594.
