HCCC student and another man charged in strong-arm robbery

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Herkimer County Community College student and another man have both been charged in connection to a strong arm robbery at a residence in the village of Herkimer on Monday.

According to Herkimer Police, Mark A. Willis, 23, of Rosedale, N.Y. and Spencer M. Dubuisson, 19, of Newburgh, N.Y. have both been charged with first-degree robbery and petit larceny. Dubuisson is currently enrolled as a student at Herkimer County Community College.

Police say that Willis and Dubuisson forced their way into an apartment at 210 North Main Street in the village on Monday afternoon, displayed a handgun, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a resident.The victim was not injured in the incident.

They were both arraigned in the village court and sent to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bail bond.

Police said additional charges are pending against both men and additional suspects as the investigation continues.
