HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Herkimer man is facing charges after authorities say he was found in possession of numerous drugs and paraphernalia at his North Prospect Street residence in the village.

Members of the Herkimer Police Special Response Team executed a 'no knock' search warrant at 419 North Prospect Street early Monday morning and say they confiscated heroin, cocaine, prescription medications, scales, packaging materials and more than $1,300 in cash from the residence.

Micah J. Battalio, 22, of the residence has now been charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Battalio was arraigned and committed to Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

The Herkimer Police were assisted by the Herkimer County District Attorney's Office in the investigation and say additional arrests are pending.
