Judge to rule next week on statements made by alleged bank robber

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - An Oneida County Court judge heard arguments Thursday regarding statements Brian Brown allegedly made to police.

Brown is the suspect in last year's robberies of the Bank of America in East Utica and NBT Bank in Rome. He is accused of shooting Oneida County Sheriff Deputy Michael Berger following the NBT Bank Robbery.

Two police officers and Brown himself testified at Thursday's hearing in Oneida County Court.

The judge is expected to issue a decision in the next week or so on whether or not Brown's alleged statements to police will be allowed at trial.
