GREIG, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Lewis County teen is facing charges after authorities say he assaulted a Sheriff's Deputy who was responding to a report of a domestic between the teen and his mother.

Brandon L. Kirch, 19, of Greig has been charged with second-degree harassment and resisting arrest after authorities were called to a domestic dispute between Kirch and his mother on Greig Road in the Town of Greig on Tuesday, October 30.

When deputies arrived on the scene, Kirch allegedly became angry toward authorities and grabbed a deputy by the shirt, ripping the tie off the deputy's uniform.

While trying to get Kirch into custody, authorities said he continued to fight with authorities and dug his nails into the back of one of the deputies.

Kirch was arraigned in the Town of Greig Court and remanded to the Lewis County Jail on $250 cash and $500 bond.
