UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man faces several charges after a domestic dispute at his home on Neilson Street. Officers says they had to use a taser to subdue the suspect-30-year-old Daniel Penree.

Utica Police say they responded to the 1600 block of Neilson street around 5:20pm Monday afternoon. A female victim said she and her boyfriend were arguing and he pushed her down and while on top of her took her keys and cell phone. Their toddler son began to hit Penree on the back to get him off his mother.

Police say Penree then pushed his girlfriend out the front door and she fell down the stairs. When officers arrived and told Penree he was under arrest, he tried slamming the door in their faces and ran inside. Officers caught up with him and used a taser to arrest him.

Penree is charged with 2 counts of harassment, resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child.
