Police: After being fired, bar employee breaks in, steals cash from register

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police say an employee who was fired from a Varick Street bar returned to the bar and stole money hours later.

According to Utica Police, John Luciano, 40, of Utica was arrested on January 31 and has been charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Police say that Luciano had been employed at Shots Bar on Varick Street but was fired, returning in the early morning hours of January 1, 2013. Authorities say he broke into the bar and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.
