Brothers injured in Utica shooting with conflicting accounts of what took place

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police said something isn't adding up regarding the shooting that took place on Seymour Ave, Saturday evening.

Police said that they responded to the 1600 block of Seymour Avenue around 5:00 p.m. after reports of gunfire, and found bullet casings, but not much else on the scene.
A short time later two men showed up at the Emergency Room at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
The victims in the shooting have been identified as brothers, Corwin and Rahmel Weathers, of Utica.
According to investigators, one of the brothers sustained a gunshot wound to his leg while the other was shot in the arm.
Both stated that they were together when the shooting occurred, but each gave conflicting stories about what had taken place.

Despite the lack of cooperation from the victims, Police said that they are proceeding with their investigation.
