Pre-trial motions set in Larry Utter case

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The man accused of shooting and killing his wife in their Forestport home back in June has his case moving forward through Oneida County Court.

Attorneys met today in the case of Larry Utter, who is facing a charge of second-degree murder in the death of his wife, Stacey.

Authorities say Stacey Utter was found dead inside of the couples Trestle road home on June 11th.Investigators say Larry Utter called 9-1-1 and reported that he had accidentally shot his wife. According to an autopsy, Stacey Utter had been shot two times. Authorities say law enforcement had responded to the residence twice in the last year for domestic incidents, but no arrests were made. While waiting for his proceedings to move forward, larry utter has been held at the oneida county jail on no bail.

Motions have been scheduled in the case for next Tuesday, August 20th.
