Rome PD searching for robbery suspect

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Rome Police are looking for a suspect in a grocery store robbery that happened over the weekend.

Police said a man walked into Tops Friendly Market on Erie Boulevard and allegedly approached a cashier, displayed a note implying he had a gun and then demanded cash.

The incident took place at around 8 p.m. and police say the suspect ran away on foot towards South James Street.
