Suspect apprehended in Varick St. tire slashing case, one suspect still at large

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in multiple tire slashings on Varick Street, Friday morning.
According to Police, shortly after midnight Thursday night into Friday morning, Sidell Ruffin, 26, slashed the tires of 17 cars along Varick St. during the Saranac Thursday after-party.
He has been charged with 11 counts of criminal mischief in the case.
Police have also said that they believe another there was a second suspect responsible for the slashings, but he has not been taken into custody at this time.
Police are looking for a black male, who was wearing dark clothing and a knit cap.
