SCHUYLER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Three convicted felons are now facing charges of weapon possession after State Police made a traffic stop in the Town of Schuyler early Friday morning.

On Friday, October 21 around 2:15 a.m., State Troopers out of Herkimer noticed a vehicle driving on Kilkenny Drive in Schuyler with its headlights off. The Troopers drove onto Kilkenny Drive and found three male subjects - Jayson A. Pulluaim, 36, of Ocala, Florida; Terrence T. Hines, 35, of Utica; and Eugene D. James, 28, of Utica - parked in a van at the end of the road.

Upon approaching the vehicle, one of the Troopers observed a rifle barrel protruding from under a scarf between the back seats.

All three subjects were removed form the vehicle and a search was conducted. Inside the vehicle, authorities found a loaded SKS semi-automatic rifle and a loaded Beretta .32 caliber automatic handgun. A check of the handgun revealed it to be a stolen firearm from Montgomery County, Tennessee.

State Police said at the time of the stop, Pulluaim was on New York State Parole and Hines was on federal probation from previous charges.

Authorities said all three were previously convicted felons, and were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

All three subjects were arraigned in the Town of Schuyler Court and remanded to the Herkimer County Jail on $75,000 cash / $150,000 bond

Anyone with information on these subjects or why they would have been in the area of Kilkenny Drive is asked to contact BCI Senior Investigator Timothy Blaise at 315-866-7275.
