UPD: Parolee makes "hand to hand" drug deal

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man is facing drug charges after Utica Police say he made a "hand to hand" drug transaction in the west side of the city.

Around 8:16 pm on Wednesday, saw 35-year-old Marcus Stevens making the drug transaction from a parked car in a parking lot near Brayton Park Place and Whitesboro Street.

They apparently took Stevens into custody after he resisted arrest.

Stevens was found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and resisting arrest.

At the time of his arrest, it was discovered that Stevens is on the New York State parole list.
