Utica man arrested after threatening child with knife

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man has been arrested for menacing with children, Saturday night.
On Sunday, Utica Police announced that at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to Proctor Park for a call regarding menacing. 
Officers spoke with a 13-year-old victim who said that he was with his friends in the park when several males took their bicycles. 
They chased after them, and the males gave the bikes back.  
However, while the child was riding away, he noticed one of the suspects was chasing him, while holding something in the air. 
The child stopped and the suspect approached him and threatened him with a knife. The victim then fled and called police. 
Officers checked the park, and found the suspect exiting the woods and took him into custody.
The suspect has been identified as Victor Martinez, 20, of Armory Dr. in Utica.

He has been charged with endangering the Welfare of a Child, menacing, and criminal possession of a Weapon.
