Video shows other suspects in graduation party shooting
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police have released new surveillance video of a graduation party gone wrong in the City of Utica last month. One man has already been charged in the shooting, but as seen in the video, at least two other individuals were involved in the incident. Robert Lindo, 28, has been charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm following the June 22 incident where he was shot in the leg. In the video, captured in the area of Arthur and West Streets around 8:30 p.m. the day of the graduation party, a man in a motorcycle helmet is seen firing a gun at people in the crowd. Three other men in the crowd are then seen firing multiple rounds at a man wearing green, causing everyone at the party to scatter. A police investigation has revealed that Lindo had a gun and was one of the men seen firing shots into the crowd, but it is still not known if his wound came from his own gun or someone else's firearm. Police say Lindo has been uncooperative with their investigation. Shell casings were found from two different firearms, as well as a bullet hole in a building by the Johnson Park Center. Anyone with information is asked to call the Utica Police at 315-223-3510.
