Woman accused of slicing face, hand of teen with a "crack stem"

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica woman is facing charges after police say she sliced the face and hand of a teenager with what police say was "a crack stem."

Millicent Freeman, 36, of Utica has been charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Police said it is alleged that Freeman assaulted a 19 year old female victim at the Olbiston Apartments in Utica by slicing the victim's face, hand, wrist and palm of her hand, with a piece of glass believed to be from a "crack" stem.

Freeman had fled the scene in a vehicle and was later arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of Court and Cornelia Streets, police said.

The driver of the vehicle, William Boucher Jr., 49, of Utica was also arrested and charged with second-degree harassment for striking an officer in the chest and arms.
