Deputies: Man injures other man's eye with lit cigarette

WATSON, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Lewis County man has been charged after authorities say he flicked a lit cigarette into another man's face, causing an eye injury.

According to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Randy J. Myers Jr, 25, of Harissville has been charged with third-degree assault stemming from an incident in the Town of Watson on Saturday, May 5.

Lewis County Sheriff's Deputies say Myers flicked a lit cigarette into the face of another man, causing injury to the man's right eye. The man had to be treated at Lowville Hospital for his injury to his eye and was released.

Myers was processed at the Lewis County Sheriff's Office and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Watson Court at a later date.

The cause of the dispute that led to the incident is still under investigation.
