SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a fugitive wanted in connection with a slaying in New York state has been arrested in Georgia.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says Ronald Meadow was arrested Monday by local deputies, Georgia Bureau of Investigation officers and members of the New York State Police executing an arrest warrant for second-degree murder.
Officials say Meadow was working at a business in Douglas County, just west of Atlanta. The sheriff's office released no other information.
Authorities in New York aren't releasing details until a news conference they've scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office in Syracuse.
The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports that Meadow's 27-year-old estranged wife was found slain inside her Syracuse apartment in March 1985. The slaying was never solved.
