Police: Oneida man found in possession of meth, marijuana, guns, and materials for making meth

ONEIDA, N.Y. (WKTV) - While authorities were executing a search warrant for a suspect wanted on federal methamphetamine charges, they took a separate man into custody when he was found in possession of meth, marijuana, a firearm and equipment used to make meth.

According to Oneida City Police, they, along with the Madison County Sheriff's Department, U.S. Marshalls, New York State Police and their Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team and Oneida Nation Police were executing the search warrant at 1720 Canal Road in the City of Oneida on Wednesday, looking for a suspect wanted on federal meth manufacturing charges.

Instead, they found Alan Blake, 50, of the residence, and seized methamphetamine, marijuana, several long guns, a .22 caliber handgun and material and equipment used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Blake was charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, second-degree criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was arraigned and committed to Madison County Jail in lieu of bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond to appear on Friday, June 15.

Additional charges may be pending.
