Verona man accused of sexually abusing one month old

VERONA, N.Y. - A Verona man is now facing sex abuse charges in connection to an injured one month old.

According to New York State Police, Andrew S. Potter, 22, of Verona has been charged with second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

On May 12, 2012, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation were contacted by medical personnel at the Oneida Healthcare Facility regarding injuries to a one-month-old female.

Potter was charged on May 18, 2012, and was arraigned in the Village of Canastota Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail on $25,000 cash / $50,000 bond.

He is scheduled to re-appear back in court on May 24, 2012.
