UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The trial began Tuesday for a man found hiding under a car near a murder victim, but the trial is for weapons possession, not murder. Utica Police responded to Genesee Street at Watson Place in May 2011 where they found Reginald Davis lying dead in a pool of blood. Nearby, police found a gun with Andre Jackson's DNA on it and Jackson hiding from police under a car. Jackson has chosen to go with a bench trial, which means the judge, not a jury, will render the verdict. Davis' homicide remains unsolved.
