Former Ilion students accused of breaking into school, stealing football helmets

ILION, N.Y. (WKTV) - Two former students from Ilion Jr / Sr High School are now facing charges, accused of breaking into the school.

According to Ilion Police, Bryan L. March, 24, of Elmhurst, Illinois and William E. Markey Jr, 23, of Denver Colorado, have both been charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Police said the arrest stemmed from accusations that both March and Markey entered and remained unlawfully in Ilion Jr / Sr High School and stole football helmets

March and Markey were both originally from Ilion and attended Ilion Jr / Sr High School in the past, police said.

Both were arraigned in the village of Ilion Court and remanded to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility on $7,500 cash / $15,000 bond.
