HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A student from Herkimer County Community College has been charged after police say he stole a laptop computer from a dorm room.
According to Herkimer Police, Shucre I. Fadalla, 19, of Albany entered a dorm room through a window and stole a Dell laptop and a watch back in November.
Fadalla was arraigned Wednesday in village court and charged with second-degree burglary and grand larceny. He was committed to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 bail.
Herkimer Police said they, along with Campus Safety encourage students to lock up their possessions in a dormitory setting to prevent these types of theft.
