Ilion man accused of raping child under the age of 15

ILION, N.Y. (WKTV) - An Ilion man is facing charges, including rape, after authorities say he had sex with a minor.
According to Ilion Police, Christopher L. Bennett, 24 has been charged with second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 15.
Bennett was arraigned in the Village of Ilion Court and sent to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
He is scheduled to return to the Village of Ilion Court on March 28.
