Police: Man threatened people in home with gun due to partying

DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Dolgeville man has been charged after authorities say he threatened people in his home with a gun.

According to Dolgeville Police, James E. Grassel Jr, 34, has been charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say that following an earlier domestic dispute, Grassell and his live-in girlfriend got into another argument over people partying and staying at his home. Grassel is accused of then displaying a firearm to threaten and scare people in the home.

Authorities say they seized two firearms from the residence and Grassel was arraigned in the Town of Manheim Court. He was released to a third party with release stipulations that he have no contact with members of the household.
