Police: Woman used stolen credit card at Herkimer business

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A woman is facing charges after police say she used a stolen credit card.

On March 20, 2012 the Herkimer Police Department received a complaint that a person's credit card had been stolen. Police say the credit card had been used several times at a business located on North Main Street in Herkimer. Through an investigation utilizing video surveillance it was found that Lindsey C Benedict an employee, was suspect in this crime.

Benedict was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and six counts of third-degree forgery.

She was arraigned in Village of Herkimer Court and sent to the Herkimer Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash and $20,000 bond
