Police investigate theft of weapons, valuables from Big Moose residence

BIG MOOSE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Authorities are investigating a Monday evening burglary at a home in Big Moose, where it is believed that weapons, jewelry and cash was stolen.

According to Town of Webb Police, the burglary is believed to have occurred at a residence on Martin Road in the hamlet of Big Moose (in the Town of Webb) some time between 5 and 9 p.m. on Monday. Authorities say the homeowner came home shortly after 9 p.m. and found their home ransacked.

Police say nearly two dozen weapons and ammunition were taken from the home, along with jewelry and cash.

Authorities say they are beefing up patrols in light of the burglary, and ask that anyone who may have information please call them at 315-369-6515.
