Police make second arrest in theft of signs in Dolgeville

DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A second man has been charged in connection to the theft of signs from Dopps Inn in the Village of Dolgeville.

According to Dolgeville Police, Cole J. Metot, 21 (AKA Cole Lincourt) has been charged with petit larceny and filing a false written statement. Authorities say he was involved in the theft of signs from Dopps Inn on South Main Street and for giving them a false written statement in the course of their investigation.

Earlier this week, police arrested Russell Shaut, 27, for his alleged involvement in the signs theft.

Both Shaut and Metot were issued appearance tickets returnable to Manheim Court at a later date.
