ILION, N.Y. (WKTV) - An employee of Remington Arms has been charged after authorities say he hid a camera in the women's bathroom. According to Ilion Police, Justyn A. Lawrence, 25, of Frankfort has now been charged with second-degree unlawful surveillance. Ilion Police say that they were called to Remington Arms around 12:05 a.m. on Saturday, May 11 after someone found a cell phone in the ceiling of the Ladies Bathroom. The cell phone was recording a view of the toilet, police said. Following the investigation, police arrested Lawrence on Tuesday. He was arraigned in the Village of Ilion Court and sent to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash and $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to the Village of Ilion Court on Thursday, May 16 at 5:30 p.m. Police say Lawrence was a current employee of Remington Arms at the time of the incident. At this point in the investigation, authorities said it does not appear that there are any additional victims. However, police say they will continue the investigation. Remington Arms Security and the Village of Ilion Police have completed an inspection of all bathrooms in the Remington Arms Plant and have not located any other recording devices.
