SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Frankfort man who was convicted of growing more than 1,000 marijuana plants was not sentenced Tuesday as originally scheduled.
Sentencing for Corey Leitz, 41, of Frankfort is rescheduled to February 6 in Federal Court in Syracuse.
Leitz pleaded guilty to federal charges back in September. Authorities say that from August 2011 until December 2011, he maintained a marijuana operation inside a barn on McIntyre Road in Frankfort.
By December of that year, he had grown 3,200 marijuana plants and sold them to numerous customers across Herkimer County and other areas.
Following his already served jail time, he faces ten years to life and a fine of up to $20 million.
