Two face drug charges after heroin, pain pills found in Herkimer traffic stop

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A traffic stop by Herkimer Police has led to a man and a woman now facing drug charges.

Police say a vehicle operated by Katrina Johnson, 25, of Whitesboro was stopped by patrol officers and after interviewing Johnson and her passenger - Lance Durham, 32 of Mohawk - several packets of heroin and prescription pain pills were located in the vehicle.

Johnson was charged with DWAI for driving under the influence of drugs and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was arraigned and sent to Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 bail.

Durham was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and committed to jail on $500 bail.
