ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Police have canceled an Amber Alert issued after an upstate New York man took two young children from their mother during a nighttime quarrel and drove off.

An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday afternoon for 3-year Jeremiah Baker and 1-year-old Darius Lee. Within two hours of the alert, police say someone recognized the vehicle described in the alert and called police. The children were found safe in a house.

Investigators say the boys were taken from their home in Rochester in their pajamas at around 4 a.m. by 25-year-old Kenneth Smith, who's not related to the children.

Police say there's a warrant out for Smith's arrest.

Police said anyone with information should contact either 911 or 866-697-2623 (866-NYS-Amber).
