Rome Police: missing teen located, returned home

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Rome Police Department says that a teen who had been reported missing has been returned home safely to her family.

Authorities had asked the public for information Wednesday that might lead them to the whereabouts of Pamela L. Thompson, 17, who, at that time, had been last seen by family members on Monday, January 16, 2012.

Investigators with Rome Police said she had been last seen Monday evening around 7:45 p.m. on Erie Boulevard West in Rome near the shopping plaza that houses Tops Supermarket and J.C. Penney. She was with an unknown male at that time, police said Wednesday.

The next day, Rome Police announced that Pamela L.Thompson had been located and returned home. They said she came home on her own overnight and that no foul play was involved regarding her disappearance.
