NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Steven A. Pastorious, 48, of Utica allegedly entered a home on Sessions Road in the Town of New Hartford while the residents were asleep and displayed a tire iron. Police said that after being awakened by Pastorius' entry, one of the residents and Pastorius became engaged in a physical altercation where the resident was injured and sent to the hospital with a head injury.
Police responded to the scene shortly after 5 a.m. and arrested Pastorius, charging him with felony counts of first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
