Utica Police were sent to 1006 Blandina Street in regards to a 911 call/domestic dispute. Upon arrival police spoke to the female caller, who told them that her estranged husband- Herbert Roman (age 31, of Stark Street, Utica) entered her home from a back door that that was unlocked. Once inside the female victim claimed that Roman grabbed her by the arm and hair, dragging her, and then slammed her against a wall. It is also alleged that Roman had threatened to punch his wife's son in the face. At the time of this incident there was a valid Utica City Court order of protection in effect that directed Roman to stay away from the victim and her home, and to refrain from acts of violence against her. Roman was later arrested at his home on Stark Street and charged with: -Criminal contempt in the first degree (class E felony), -Harassment in the second degree, and -Criminal trespass in the second degree.
