On Monday May 2, 2011, Utica Police arrested Proctor High School student- Adnan Dervisevic (age 18, of Kossuth Avenue, Utica) within the school's cafeteria. It is alleged that Dervisevic was observed intentionally shutting a door on another student and then pushed a security officer. When Utica police officer Ruddy attempted to arrest and handcuff Dervisevic, he attempted to pull away from him and kicked the officer on his right leg. According to Officer Ruddy, Dervisevic continue to refused to comply with my verbal commands and he then twisted his body in a manner to free his arm from his grasp and grabbed the cafeteria table and refused to let go. Then Dervisevic attempted to stand on the table and he was repeatedly kicking. Dervisevic was eventually taken into police custody and charged with: -Two counts of harassment in the second degree, and -Resisting arrest.
