On May 3, 2011, Utica Police officers conducted a traffic stop of vehicle for a traffic infraction, on Clinton Place. The driver- Umar Aziz (age 21, of Mulberry Street, Utica), would give police officers a false name because he had a suspended drivers license. Aziz was arrested and charged with: -False personation (class B misdemeanor), -Aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree, -No drivers license, and -Failed to yield the right of way while making a left turn. Officers issued Aziz the three traffic summonses and an appearance ticket all returnable to Utica City Court on May 25, 2011.
