On Friday, May 20, 2011, Utica police officers were dispatched to 1036 Whitesboro Street, Utica, for a 911 call of a fight. Upon the arrival of the police the female victim told officers that she got into an argument with her boyfriend- Matthew Zanichelli (age 39, of Whitesboro Street, Utica) because I got home late with dinner. During the argument Zanichelli accused her of being with an ex-boyfriend. This female alleged that Zanichelli pushed her into a wall, put her in a headlock, and slammed her head into the wall several times. The female victim sustained pain and swelling to the left and right sides of her face. Zanichelli was arrested and charged with assault in the 3rd degree (class A misdemeanor) and bail in the amount of $500 was set.
