UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A former food service supervisor for the State Department of Corrections will be spending some time behind bars for stealing $100,000 from the department.

Howard Dean was sentenced in Oneida County Court on Wednesday to six months of house arrest and five years probation and restitution.

Dean admitted to grand larceny in court nearly two years ago and was originally going to face jail time, but the district attorney's office agreed to no jail time for dean due to the "severe and life-threatening" medical conditions.
