Investigation into Rome Fastrac robbery leads to arrest

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - An almost year-long investigation into robberies at a Rome Fastrac store has resulted in an arrest, with possibly more to come.

The 11-month investigation has resulted in the arrest of Wayne Sellnow, 36, of Rome, who has been suspected in the two store robberies.

Sellnow, is charged with robbery after Rome Police say he entered a Fastrac on North James Street in Rome on two separate occasions in April 2009, wearing a mask, and threatening the clerk. Police said Sellnow made off with money and cigarettes from both robberies.

Police said the investigation into the two robberies is continuing and more arrests are expected.
