Gadson rejects plea deal in Lenox Ave homicide

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The man accused in the City of Utica's only homicide of 2012 has rejected a plea offer in Oneida County Court.

Jamal Gadson is charged in connection to the July 2012 shooting death of Jermaine Stubbs on Lenox Ave in the City of Utica. Police say the incident began as a fight outside a bar called "Shots" on Varick Street and ended with Stubbs' death on Lenox Ave.

Authorities say Gadson left town following the shooting and was later located in North Carolina.

He was brought back to Utica in September and after rejecting this plea deal, will stand trial for Stubbs' murder.
