Remsen man charged in connection to snowmobile thefts, more arrests pending

WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Remsen man has been charged in connection to the theft of two snowmobiles and a snowmobile trailer in the Village of Whitesboro.

Police say that on Tuesday morning, October 30, the owners of CMT Auto on Oriskany Boulevard reported that the vehicles had been stolen.

As the investigation developed, Whitesboro Police located not only the stolen vehicles, but what they call "a great amount of other stolen goods."

Ryan Harvey, 20, of Remsen was charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny.

Harvey was arraigned and sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

He is scheduled to re-appear in town court at a later date.

Police said that a stolen vehicle out of the Town of New Hartford was also recovered during the investigation, which is ongoing with other arrests pending.
