South Carolina man arrested in connection with Rome robbery

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - A South Carolina man has been arrested and charged for his involvement in a 2013 credit union robbery in Rome, Saturday. 
 
According to Rome Police, on August 19, 2013, three men, two of which displayed handguns, entered the Access Federal Credit Union located at 200 South George Street. They ordered customers and employees to the ground and removed cash from the credit union vault. 
 
The three then fled to a waiting vehicle and left the area. 
 
In November, 2013, Shakeal R. Hendricks, 20, Taiquan M. Howard, 18, and Robert B. Hendricks, 54, all of Utica, were taken into custody by police and charged with the robbery. 
 
On March 26, 2014, a fourth suspect, believed to be the driver of the suspect vehicle, was taken into police custody in South Carolina. 
 

He is identified as Charles E. Robinson, 37. Robinson, who resides in Columbia, South Carolina, is charged with Robbery of a Banking Institution, and is being held in a South Carolina jail.
