State Police investigating residential burglary in Marcy

MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - New York State Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon on Route 291 in the Town of Marcy.

Authorities say the suspects were interrupted when the homeowners arrived home and found a four door Chevy Impala parked in the driveway.

The car was described as blue/purple in color with minor damage on the front bumper with white paint, the vehicle had a sun roof with a wind deflector.

The homeowners stated they observed a white female in her 20-30's, with brown hair in a pony tail, in the driver's seat of the vehicle with a Husky-type dog sitting in the back seat.

The victims described a second subject as a white male who was scene running from the rear of the residence to the vehicle. The male subject was described as approximately six feet in height, large build, with short blonde hair, and multiple ear piercings in his right ear and several ear piercings in his left ear.

Authorities said that beyond that, no further description was available.

The victims told State Police that the male suspect advised them that they were on their property looking for their dog. The complainants at first thought nothing of this until they went in to check their residence to find there flat screen TV was disconnected and the jewelry was stolen from the back bedroom.
