Still no charges in alleged puppy mill, dogs sheltered in five different counties

By WKTV News

MINDEN, N.Y. (WKTV) - Wednesday marked two weeks since New York State Police and other law enforcement agencies were called to an alleged puppy mill on Route 5 in the Town of Minden in Montgomery County.

However, as of this writing, authorities say there are still no arrests or charges in the case.

Authorities say the reason is because the task is an enormous undertaking, with more than fifty pit bull dogs and puppies taken out of a rundown barn on Route 5S and are now being sheltered in five different counties.

The dogs had frostbite, open sores and worms, and it's time consuming to document those injuries and determine appropriate charges.
