SYRACUSE, N.Y. - A well-known attorney known for his television commercials is heading to prison after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography. This week, attorney Martin J. Rothschild pleaded guilty in Onondaga County Court to a charge of promoting the sexual performance of a child. Under the plea, he will serve three years in state prison followed by three years probation upon his release. He will also have to give up his law practice and register as a sex offender. Rothschild admitted in court to having the child pornography images on his computer. His law office in East Syracuse, along with his Manlius home were raided by police in February where computers were seized. Rothschild is scheduled to be sentenced on June 20.
