Utica man turns himself in for damage to Sylvan Beach bath house

SYLVAN BEACH, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man has been charged in connection to damage caused at the Municipal Bath House in the Village of Sylvan Beach over the summer.

According to New York State Police, Matthew J. Bukovan, 21, of Utica has been charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. State Police say Bukoven turned himself in, stating that he was the individual seen in surveillance footage that was distributed through media by law enforcement.

Bukovan is alleged to have, on August 11, damaged an interior door of the bath house.

He was issued an appearance ticket to the Village of Sylvan Beach Court for December 6 at 4 p.m.
