Authorities: 19 marijuana plants harvested in Westmoreland

WESTMORELAND, N.Y. (WKTV) - Authorities say they harvested 19 marijuana plants on private property in the Town of Westmoreland.

According to the Oneida County Drug Task Force, the plants measured approximately ten feet in height.

The owner of the property alerted the Oneida County Drug Task Force of their existence and location, but wished to remain anonymous. The approximate street value of the marijuana at full maturity is $1,000 per plant, authorities said.

The Drug Task Force is asking for anyone with information regarding the investigation to call the Oneida County Drug Task Force at (315) 738-8341, and promise that all information will be kept confidential.

Members of the Kirkland Police Department and the Oneida County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
