Autopsy scheduled for victim in Taberg stabbing, authorities ask witnesses to come forward


TABERG, N.Y. (WKTV) - An autopsy has been scheduled for the man killed in a stabbing Saturday night outside the American Legion in Taberg.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, an autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Onondaga Medical Examiner's Office in Syracuse on Joseph Andrewski, who died as a result of his injury he received on Saturday night.

Andrewski was involved in an altercation Saturday night September 8, 2012 at the Taberg Legion in the Town of Annsville. Authorities said Andrewski and another person were injured in which both parties received stab wounds. Andrewski succumbed to his injury and passed away on Sunday September 9, 2012 in a Hospital in Syracuse. Sheriff Maciol said.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who was attending the Taberg Legion that night or has any information pertaining to the fight between Andrewski and the second party to contact the Oneida County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Unit.
